One thing that can make you an amazing coach.
Many of budding coaches whom I have interacted with, come up with this question. What will make me amazing? What will make me unique? What could be my best strategy? How will I ensure that people will come to me? How can I connect with them better?
When I started in 2013 as a coach, let me accept, I was ignorant or I wasn’t ready to invest, neither in myself nor in my development. I thought whatever I know is more than enough for me to get good clients, serve them, produce results & generate money.
What I didn’t know was, whatever I knew has already brought me to where it could have. If I want to go to next level then surely I need to learn more, invest more and explore more. Go to people who know more than I know, & learn from them and invest time, money, energy into it. But I didn’t opt for that for more than 7yrs & that costed me heavily.
After burning my energy & getting lost, I finally found the right people to invest into & learn from them. I found my unique strengths & I started using them to create impact, produce results & ofcourse, make money. All this happened within 3yrs.
That’s my story of early days. That’s how I started. I realised the superpower is with me only. And that is, my STORY.
I was doubtful, when I learnt that our story is extremely powerful & it must be shared. Because I thought, its not worth sharing and its an extremely average story. But what I learnt through my mentors is, we don’t know who will get a new thought, a new learning, a new breakthrough via our story. And we shouldn’t miss that opportunity.
Trust me, sharing my story, gave me an opportunity to connect with my audience better, know them & help them open up more. They started getting the confidence too.
Whenever I connect with my audience, be it 1 on 1, or through stage, my story helps me a lot.
Our story is our strength and we need to use it to build the relation with our clients.
